Picture this: sandy beaches, breathtaking bays, and a heapful of exciting activities to keep the whole family entertained.
We arrived on a Saturday morning to the Cayton Village Caravan and Motorhome Club, we travelled through picturesque villages and miles of green and yellow land.
We drove a VW Ocean packed with our bits ready for beach trips and exploring.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club site at Cayton Village has a variety of different pitches to suit vehicles and motorhomes from small campers to caravans to motorhomes. We were staying in their newly refurbished Glamping cabin.
We parked up, checked in to reception to pick up our keys before being directed to our cabin. A neat bush lines the pod for privacy with a brick BBQ station and a patio leading to the front door. The glamping cabin was more than I could have imagined and we all gleamed with excitement from the moment we slid the door open.
The cabin was modern with stylish floors and decor and a kitchen complete with fridge and dishwasher. Everything you need is within this kitchen, making it ideal for families who want to escape and nestle away. You can sleep 6 in the cabin, with a folding double bed at the back (the space also doubles up as a dining area with comfy seats and a magically tucked away table) a pull out sofa bed and a raised bunk area. We took a short trip into town to a local Tesco to pick up BBQ food and all we needed to enjoy the space - we had planned to dine out but with so many facilities in the cabin we didn’t need to.
On the site you’ll also find a small shop selling essentials at a reasonable price as well as a play park.
A simple, short walk (less than 20 minutes walk) will take you to Cayton Bay which is the closest and one of three in short driving proximity. It’s a fairly steep walk down to the bay but the views are very much worth it.
When it comes to choosing your base camp, Experience Freedom at Cayton Bay, is a great family-friendly choice. Nestled amidst stunning coastal scenery, the site is well-equipped and provides a range of accommodation options to suit your needs.
Their glamping options are an accessible alternative to camping and you can choose from the Glamping Cabins, pods or Yurts at Cayton Bay but their other locations also include safari tents!
If you have your own camper or tent then their spacious pitches are available with access to clean and modern washing facilities. You can also hire from Breeze Campers if you want to experience camping in their range of campers 😉
