We recently returned from a Christmas Disneyland Paris trip in our camper van, not only did we save money on accommodation but we the camping area at Disneyland Paris allows you close access to the park! Disneyland Paris offers a spacious Motorhome Overnight Parking area, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
While reservations aren’t possible, the parking lot is large enough that you’re unlikely to find it full—a stress-free option for campervan travelers.
Here’s everything you need to know to plan your camping getaway.
Why Choose Camping in Disneyland Paris?
Camping is a fantastic way to enjoy Disneyland Paris on a budget, we visited in December 2025 and paid $40 for the night.
Cost-Effective Accommodation: Camping is a more affordable option compared to staying in Disney hotels or nearby resorts.
Proximity to the Parks: The designated camping spots at Disneyland are at the bottom of the car park
Relaxing Atmosphere: Having the campervan so close to the park meant we could pop back to the van for some food and rest.
What you need to know.
Access: Upon arrival, show your pre-purchased park tickets at the main gates and ask for Motorhome Parking access.
Cost: $40 (December 2024)
Safety: The area is patrolled by security regularly. The pitches are hard standing but no electric hook up is available.
Facilities: Toilets are available but are a few minutes walk located at the top of the car park, so onboard facilities are recommended. This path is well lit.
Your parking expires at 10am the following morning. You can pay an additional fee for another night.
Whether you’re a seasoned camper or new to the experience, camping in Disneyland Paris offers a unique and budget-friendly way to enjoy the magic of Disney. With easy access to the parks, it’s the perfect option for families.
How to make the most out of a day at Disneyland Paris.
For first-time visitors with only one day to explore Disneyland Paris, careful planning is key.
Download the Disneyland App
Before your trip, download the app. Here you can check queue times, locate attractions, and plan your day. This will help you prioritise rides and minimise waiting time.
Strategise Your First Few Rides
The parks are quieter early in the morning and late in the evening. Plan to visit your must-see attractions during these times for shorter queues. We found Disney Studios to be quieter at 10am then the rest of the park so ensured to visit the Marvel and Cars rides/characters then.
Plan for Shows and Parades
Check the schedule for parades and shows in advance, and include them in your itinerary. They’re often highlights of a Disneyland visit. I would recommend finding a spot about 20/30 minutes before they start to ensure you get a good view.
Check Height Restrictions
Measure your children’s heights and use the app to find suitable rides. This avoids disappointment and ensures a smooth experience.
Familiarise Yourself with the Park Layout
Use the interactive map on the app to identify key attractions, dining spots, and facilities. Knowing the layout saves time and reduces stress. You can also find where the character meet and greets are on these.
Bring a pushchair
If you have little ones I would definitely recommend taking a pushchair if you are able to. It is a long day with lots of walking!
Buy Essentials in Advance
To save money, purchase any essentials you’ll need before your trip. From snacks to rain ponchos, planning ahead can help avoid steep park prices. You can bring your own food and drink into Disney which helped us save some money.
