Hosted in the elegant Restaurant 1865 at The Queens Hotel in the heart of Southsea we joined Princess Elsa, Belle and the Fairy Godmother for a delicious afternoon tea, fit for a queen (or king!)
The afternoon tea included a selection of savoury and sandwiches and hand made cakes and goodies.
I thought it being an event held for children that we would get basic cake and nibbles but
The Queens Hotel do not do basic.
Amongst the butterfly biscuits, crown shaped sandwich there were also scones with fresh
cream and a cupcake topped with a pink swirl of yummy . All of which Zakariya happily devoured. Each child also got their own activity pack and there was a balloon photo wall for photo opportunities with the princess’ The restaurant team were fully playing the part by treating the children just like royalty. They were on the ball when it came to topping up juices or, most importantly, my coffee cup! Throughout the afternoon the princesses also engaged with the room in character and even presented each child with their own coronation and crown with a wish granted by the Fairy Godmother. The Queens Hotel has always exceeded our expectations when visiting for meals and events and they definitely did not disappoint with their Royal Mini Tea Party! The hotel will be launching further events to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee and I can not wait to see what they have in store.
